Katherine Ann Baker

Katherine Ann Baker, 65, of Kettle Island, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at her home. She was born in Detroit on December 31, 1960, a daughter of the late Elmer and Christine Fraizure Miles. Katherine was a believer in the Pentecostal faith and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Miles, and sister, Barbara Miles.

Katherine is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lynn Baker; son, David Lynn Baker; daughter, Christine Renee Pierce and husband, Elijah; grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Dawson Baker, Hayden Baker, Isaiah Baker, and Autumn Pierce; great-grandchildren, Haisley Baker and Jennsyn Baker; sister, Betty Huddleston; brother, Elmer Miles, Jr.; special friend, Rena Saylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. John Neal and Rev. Wilkie Saylor presiding. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Baker Family.
