June was baptized into the Baptist Faith on March 3, 1942, and was a faithful member of Pineville First Baptist Church for 83 years. She was very active with the church in many capacities, choir and dinners, but mainly the Christmas Shoebox Ministry. She was an excellent seamstress making lots of clothes for members of our family. She made majorette uniforms for the entire majorette squad of Bell Count High School for one Mountain Laurel Festival Parade. Her knitting and crocheting skills are evident in the displayed afghans. One talent the family truly loved was her cooking skills. She loved preparing meals for everyone.
June was a very witty woman and entertained us with “Junisms”. One favorite was, “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts!”
