Julia Meredith

Julia Brock Meredith, 89 formerly of Stoney Fork, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical in Somerset. She was born in Red Bird, KY on May 10, 1921 to the late Claudie Brock and Susie Brock Saylor. She had been a member of the Stoney Fork United Methodist Church since 1951 and served as church treasurer for over 30 years. She had been a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Meredith; daughter Della Mae Meredith and Hester Hamblin; grandson, Christopher Hamblin, sister, Celetta Brock Helton and brother, Ed Brock. Survivors include her children, Perle Meredith, Kathleen Meredith Brock and husband, Don, Morris Dean Meredith, Kenneth Ray Meredith and Dean Edward Meredith; eight grandchildren, Julie Brock Akers, Deana Stephens, Meredith Brock, Morgan D. Meredith, Kevin Hamblin, Lisa Freeman, Abraham Meredith and Jackie Peters and thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Vern head, Minnie Brock, Betty Smith, Lucy Rogers, Harold D. Smith and Myrtle Grove; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
