If I could only carry you, up to the Pearly Gates.
Where Jesus Christ our Saviour, with your loved ones anxiously awaits.
As I step up to the entrance, The Gates swing open wide,
I carry your feeble body, and we get a glimpse of what's inside!
All of a sudden from my arms you step down, and begin walking towards the crowd.
I stand outside watching as Jesus placed on your head a beautiful Golden Crown!
As you turn your head I saw a sight that I remembered from years ago,
You were a lot younger and your face had a beautiful Glow!
And then came the time that I had to go,
Because it wasn't MY time and I had to travel below.
So, what to do now, that I've left my loved one behind,
Just make them this Promise from the bottom of your heart that you'll meet them again
In Due Time!
