Judy Emery

Judith "Judy" Ann Emery, age 79, of Arjay, Kentucky, and Pine Mountain Estates in Pineville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully into the eternal presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Judy was a dedicated, loving, and steadfast daughter, sister, nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful friend to many. Her heart was rooted deeply in her home, her community, and her family. A devoted believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, Judy lived her life grounded in faith, and her family rejoices in knowing she has now been received into Jesus’ loving embrace.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Tilmon Bolinger and Ruby Miracle Bolinger; her sisters, Deborah Bolinger and Janice Bolinger; her brothers, Jim Bolinger and John Bolinger; her stepson, Chad Emery; and her stepdaughter, Paula Muncy.

Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her devoted husband, Everett Emery; her loving children, daughter, Sherrie Childers (David) of Science Hill, KY; son, Chuck Deaton (Martha) of Louisville, KY; stepdaughter, George Ellen Jackson of London, KY; and daughter-in-law, Joy Emery of Harrogate, TN; her sisters, Sandy Smith, Imogene Simpson (Joe), and Ann Reagan Bolinger Good; her brothers, Jerry Bolinger of Arjay, KY, Jack Bolinger (Brenda) of Middlesboro, KY, and Mark Bolinger (Monica) of Barbourville, KY; her cherished grandchildren, Alex Walters (Sara), Madison Walters, Andrew Childers (Alanna), Nicole Smith (Matthew), Hannah Julian (Matthew), Christopher Deaton, Sarah Emery (Elvis), Lily Kate Emery, Victoria Murray (Jimmy), Aliviah Emery, Omvia Sinkhorn, Patrick Emery, and Ethan Jackson; and nine adoring great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her lifelong special friend, June Allen, along with a host of extended family members, neighbors, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

While she will be dearly missed in this world, her family invites all who knew and loved Judy to join in celebrating her life and her joyous reception into eternal rest with her Lord.

Funeral services will be at 7:30 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Irvin Gipson and Rev. Danny Robbins presiding. Burial will be at Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Walters, Christopher Deaton, Andrew Childers, Tilmon Bolinger, Timothy Bolinger, Bryan Bolinger, Chris John Emery, and Matthew Julian. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Bolinger, John Wayne Bolinger, Jeremy Rice, Jerome Rice, Eddie Allen, Brian Allen, John Michael Clark, and Matt Smith.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until the funeral hour at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Emery Family.
