Joshua Wayne Murray

Joshua Wayne Murray, 28, of Stoney Fork went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington after a long illness. He was born in Pineville on October 16, 1985 to Willene Brock Murray of Stoney Fork and the late Johnny Murray. He is also survived by these members of his family, his loving mother, Willene Murray of Stoney Fork; brothers, Johnny R. Lawson and Chucky Allen (Wendy) Murray; niece, Hayllee Murray, Nephew, Logan Murray, all of Lexington; grandparents, Z.B. and Nellie Brock of Stoney Fork. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Murray two years ago; a very special uncle, Kenneth Brock and his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Eliza Murray; cousins, Robert D. Saylor, Tina J. Brock, John K. Brock and Fredrick Brock. He is survived by his loving mother who stood by him and cared for his every need. He was her life for 28 years. She's so wonderful, He loved his life and the Lord and he loved his mom. He wanted to be with her all the time and he praised the Lord and big tears would flow down his face. As his family and friends would gather to pray with him and for him, he loved good Gospel singing. His favorite songs were 'Amazing Grace and 'This Little Light of Mine.' All that had the pleasure of meeting him just fell in love with him. He touched a lot of lives in the 28 years of his life. He loved for his family and friends to visit with him. He was always smiling no matter what. He enjoyed driving his chair and going places whenever he could. We all will miss him very much. Earth lost a great soul but Heaven gained a sweet angel. Our loss was heaven's gain. You will be sadly missed by your aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. We will say 'Bye, Josh, until we meet again.' We all love you very much. You were a blessing to your family and friends. Services will be Saturday at 12 Noon at Jenson Pentecostal Church with Rev. Demus Couch, Rev. Kenneth Saylor, Rev. Ronnie Hoskins, Rev. Jordan Lee Saylor and Rev. Richard Asher. Music will be by Demus Couch , Jordan Lee Saylor, Delores Saylor, Marrisa Brock, Timmy Couch, Virginia Collett, Bradley Stephens, Angie Saylor and Elbert Helton. Burial will be in the Brock Family Cemetery . Pallbearers will be Zackery Mills, Larry Helton, Earl Helton, Jerry Lee Saylor, Christopher Saylor, Kenneth 'Buster' Brock and Kenneth J. 'KJ' Brock. Honorary pallbearers will be his uncles, Darrell Saylor and Jordan Lee Saylor. The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel and after 10 AM Friday until the funeral hour at the Jenson Pentecostal Church .
