Joseph D Wilcox Jr

Joseph D. ' Joe Dan' Wilcox, Jr., 77 of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born in Bell County, Kentucky on August 10, 1942, a son of the late Jo Dan and Elsie Sowders Wilcox. Joseph was of the Baptist Faith and had made his living as a mechanic. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Robert Earl Wilcox; sister, Blondie Hegie and brother, Jimmy Wilcox. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley Jean Wilcox; children, Ricky Jo Wilcox, Michael (Vera) Wilcox, James Wilcox, Kirby Wilcox, Allen Wilcox, Sandra Howerton and Melissa (Letcher) Cox; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda (Raymond) Bradburn, Ada Anderson and Shirley Miller; brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Wilcox and Billy Wilcox and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family is hosting a Graveside Memorial Service at the Hill Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. Private cremation services were held at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville.
