Johnny Roger "Chico" Hensley

Johnny Roger “Chico” Hensley age 70 of Tazewell, TN was born June 26, 1947 and passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.  He was a member of Ferguson Ridge Pentecostal Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; John Henry and Mary Jane (Eads) Hensley, brother; Orville Hensley, sisters; Geraldine Rowland, Mary Lynn Hensley, Barbara Ann Hensley and Audrey Hensley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years; Lynda Hensley, children; Johnathan Hensley, Sherry Hensley, Audrey Hensley and Derrick Ray, brothers; Bobby Joe Hensley and wife Sharon, Greg Baker and wife Kathy, sisters; Hazel Woods, Wanda Parker, Kathy Sepeda, Mary Long, Marcy Williams and Loma Brooks, his best friends; “Buffalo Bill”, “Road Dog” and “Tennessee Rambler” as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6PM until 8PM at the Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel.  Funeral services will be conducted 2PM Saturday in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel, Harrogate with the Rev. Mitchell Ferguson and the Rev. Richard Long officiating.  Obituary reading by Dale Parker Jr., Singers; Mary Long, Marcie Williams and Loma Brooks.  Burial will follow in the Parks Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
