John Clay Taylor, Sr.

John Clay Taylor, Sr. age 76 of Harrogate, TN passed away April 12, 2020 with his loving daughter by his side. He was born in Warren, KY on August 28, 1943 to the late Robert and Myrtle (Strong) Taylor. John was saved at an early age and was very strong in his faith. He worked for many years in the coal mining industry.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years; Shelia (Brewer) Taylor, granddaughter; Afton Tara Sanders, brothers; Eugene Taylor and Curtis Taylor. He is survived by his children; Sherri Taylor Hoskins and husband Carl of Harrogate, TN, John Taylor Jr. and wife Patty of London, England, granddaughter; Alexandra Charlotte Taylor of London, England, brothers; Jessie Taylor and wife Barbara of Harrogate, TN, sisters; Patsy Weaver and husband Rodney of London, KY, Brenda Kinder, Gayle Fugate and Martin all of Nicholasville, KY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private graveside services will be conducted. A Celebration of Life services will be conducted at a later date when the restrictions of COVID-19 are lifted.
