John "Jb" Sanders

John B. 'JB' Sanders, 87, of Jenson, passed away at Saint Joseph Hospital in London , Thursday, February 9, 2017. He was born in Arjay on March 21, 1929 a son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Powell Sanders. He worked as a coal miner for many years, for Bell Whitley for several years and for over 18 years he delivered meals for the Pineville Senior Citizens Center. JB's hobby was woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Elizabeth 'Betty' Widener Sanders, brothers and sisters, Pearl Giles, Ron Sanders and Corinnia Howe, parents-in-law, Robert and Marie Widener; sisters-in-law, Mildred Sanders, Margie Sanders and Louise Jones. Survivors include his daughters, Teresa (Johnny) Parton and Sherrie Sanders, granddaughter, Christel (Kevin) Hoskins, great-grandson, Andrew Hoskins, his dog, Little Bit; brothers and sisters, Frank Sanders, Rita Rice, Shirley and Ben Gambrel, Bob Sanders, Roy and Mattie Sanders and Vonnie Sanders , brothers-in-law, Harold Widener, Howard Widener, Bill (Iris) Widener, Charles Widener, Bobby (Linda) Widener, Johnny (Julie) Widener and Hargis Jones, sister-in-law, Barbara Muse and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Turner. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery, Pineville. Pallbearers will be Terry Nelson, Roy Sanders, Bobby Joe Sanders, Kevin Hoskins, Bill Hoskins and Bill Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Partin, David Giles, Bobby Widener, Dr. Steve Morgan, Leon Miracle, Vickie Dye, Chris Sanders and Rick Nelson. The family will gather with friends on Saturday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Sanders Family.
