John Wesley Pursifull

John Wesley Pursifull, 54, of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. He was born in Pineville on September 23, 1966 to the late Otis and Mae Pursifull. John was employed by the Bell County School System for 12 years before opening The Tint Shop, which he owned and operated for 30 years. A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. He was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father to his three girls who were his world. John was a devoted friend to many. He was passionate about his flowers and grass and took pride in them each and every year. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister, Kimberly Pursifull Snodgrass. John leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Carolyn Pursifull; his daughters, Andrea Hurd and husband, Clay, Tiffany Pursifull, and Addisen Nunn; one granddaughter, Ellie Hurd; his brother, Tim Pursifull and wife, Frieda; brother-in-law, Jim Snodgrass; special nieces and nephews, Tyler Pursifull and wife, Mackenzie, Trent Pursifull, Travis Pursifull, and Haley Snodgrass; great-nieces, Keely Pursifull, Atlee Pursifull, and Reese Pursifull; special friend, Kevin Lefevers; lifelong friend, Troy Hoskins; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM at the Bell County High School with Rev. Lynn Miracle presiding. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Akers, Adam Wolfe, Troy Hoskins, Tyler Pursifull, Trent Pursifull, and Travis Pursifull. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Lefevers, Kevin Barnett, Wayne Widener, Jim Hatfield, Russell Mills, Bill Miller, Jake Jones and Challis Mills. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to assist the family. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Bell County High School.
