John Scott Patterson

John Scott Patterson was born on May 12, 1970 in Middlesboro, Ky. He passed way on April 1, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville, Tn.

Scott was a graduate of Powell Valley High School Class of 1988 and a Member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 760. Scott was saved on June 11, 1981 and joined the Red Hill Baptist Church where he was baptized by Rev. Hollis Simmons.

Even though Scott was an avid hunter, loved to fish for walleye and play the guitar, his true love was his daughter Marlee "Sweet Pea" Patterson.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles & Jenny Hall and Wade Patterson. Brother: Gary White.

He is survived by his daughter: Marlee Gail Patterson and her mother Emily Nicole Brooks of Bean Station,Tn. Mother: Retha Gail Brock of Pineville, Ky. Father: Johnny (Gwen) Patterson of Speedwell,Tn Grandmother: Clevia Patterson of Cumberland Gap, Tn. Sisters: Stephanie (Brandon) Brown, Tammy (Terry) Raby of Knoxville, Tn. Niece: Claire Brown nephew: Baylor Brown of Lubbock, Tx.

Several relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel on Thursday April 4, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Funeral Services to follow on Thursday at 8:00pm with Rev. Gary Mundy and Rev. John Brown officiating.

Burial will be Friday 10:30am at the Red Hill Cemetery in Speedwell, Tn.
