John M. Johnson

John M. Johnson, 67, of Baxter, passed away on April 7, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born in Middlesboro, KY on May 9, 1949 to the late Frances and Hubert Johnson. John served in the United States Army and was a school bus mechanic in Harlan County. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Judy King Johnson; children, Billy Johnson, Scott Johnson, Johnny Allen Jonson and Melissa Cornett; grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Dina Sowards, Savanah Johnson, Justin Johnson, Gage Watkins, and Haley Watkins; and his dog and favorite friend in the whole world, Candy Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10th, beginning at 4:00 PM, with Memorial Services starting at 5:00 PM to celebrate John's life, at the Baxter Baptist Church in Baxter, KY. The Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, is honored to be serving the Johnson family. Gathering of Friends
