John Henry Jackson, 83, of Wapakoneta went to be with the Lord at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday September 9, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1931 in Pineville, KY to Gillis & Roseiena (Simpson) Jackson who preceded him in death. He married Myrtle Brock who survives in Wapakoneta whom they have 4 children with. He then married Anna B. Martin who passed away in 1997. Survivors include 4 children: Rosemary (Lennie) Boatrite of St. Johns, Melvin (Nancy) Jackson of Wapakoneta, Clyde (Judy) Jackson of Harrod and John (Karla) Jackson of Greenville, KY, a step-daughter Myra Ridenour of CA, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 3 sisters-in-law from his deceased brothers. He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, 4 brothers and a brother-in-law. John retired in 1982 as a supervisor from Rudolph Foods in Westminster, OH. He was a Korean War Veteran and a lifelong member of Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Pineville, KY. He enjoyed shade tree sitting and epically more than all his grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 13, 2014 at Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Pineville, KY. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home 106 Cherry Street Pineville, KY. and 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
