John Hurst, age 81, of Shawanee, TN., formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 19, 2007, at his home.

He was preceded in death by

Kevin Bruce and

John Michael;

parents,

John and Laura Hurst;

several brothers and sisters.

wife,

Vivian Lambert Hurst, Shawanee, TN;

Janice (& Carl) Chatfield,

Darlene (& Charlie) Hatfield, all of Dayton, OH;

(4) grandchildren,

Angie,

Ryan and

Nick;

(3) great grandchildren,

Taylor,

Brent and

Hayley;

(3) step children,

Kay Pucciarelli,

Brian Warner and

Jennifer Warner;

(2) sisters,

Alice Dunsmore and

Verda Thompson;

several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Gary Miller officiating.

Music by Jim Mangus.

Visitation Saturday from 5-7 at Reece Funeral Home

Visitation in Ohio will be Monday from 11 am-1 pm at Tobias Funeral Home Beaver Creek Chapel followed by a service at 1 pm.

Burial 2 pm Monday in the Valley View Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio with military honors.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
