John Henry Hurley

John Henry Hurley, 70 of Pineville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the Middleboro ARH Hospital. He was born in Ponza, Kentucky on July 23, 1951, and was the son of the late Edward Edison and Alta Ruby Ransey Hurley. John was a member of the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church and was a much-recognized friendly face inside the doors of Middleboro Walmart for 25 years. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Linda Caswell Hurley, exactly two months prior to him; and brothers, Doyle Hurley, William Hurley, and George Hurley; and sister, Myrtle Naomi Hurley. John is survived by his sons, John Hurley and wife, Heather, and Michael Hurley and wife, Tonya; grandchildren, Megan North, Devin Hurley, and John Madison Hurley; great-grandchildren, Madison North, and Aria North; brother, Eugene Hurley and wife, Jeanette; sisters, Brenda Hall and husband, Danny, and Linda Hurley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 16,2021 at 11:00 AM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cornelius and Rev. Jeff Baker presiding. Music will be provided by his church family at Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens at East Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family requests that mask be worn by all visitors due to Covid 19. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Hurley Family.
