John "Big John" Hembree

John W. 'Big John' Hembree, 60, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the University of KY Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was born in Pineville on February 13, 1952, a son of the late Walter and Hannah Hembree and Nancy Ann Gray. He believed in the Baptist Faith and had worked in surface mining for over 35 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Doug Rose. Survivors include his children, Elizabeth Rose, Johnnie Hager and husband, Jim; John D. Hembree, Larry W. Hembree and Jacob Hembree; grandchildren, Ociana Hager, Kayleigh and Brooklyn Hembree; brother, Larry Hembree and wife, Shirley, Sister, Edith Gray Schmidt; niece and nephews; Stephanie and Colton Hembree Siegel and Josh Jones.
