John David Brock, 60, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his brothers home. He was born in Red Bird, KY, on April 5, 1955 a son of Lillie Brock and the late Felix Brock, Jr. He believed in the Holiness faith and had been a coal miner for 36 years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son, John D. Brock, Jr. and brother, Farmer Brock. Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Terrill and husband Dustin and Angela Brock; daughter-in-law, Angela Brock; mother, Lillie Brock, grandchildren, John D. Brock, III, Brandon Brock, Shannon Brock, Emily Brock, Christy Asher and Shane Asher; brothers and sisters, James Brock, Wanda Mills, Emanuel Brock, Wilma Brock, Donnie Brock, Bobby Brock, Louise Brock, Teresa Cosby, Shelia Risner and Jackie Brock and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be Friday at 11:00 AM at the Stoney Fork Holiness Church with Rev. Demus Couch, Rev. Ben Mosley and Rev. Donald Wilson. Music will be by the Church Family and friends. Burial will be in the Brock Cemetery on York Branch with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 9 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and after 10:00 PM Wednesday until the funeral hour on Friday at the Stoney Fork Holiness Church.
