Joe North, 92 of Ingram passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Tinsley on April 8, 1920, and was a son of the late Issac and Mary Jones North. Joe was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and had worked as a Lumber Grader. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ingram North, daughter, Mary Margaret North, sisters, Della North Partin and Janie North Fuson, brothers, Bill, Ned and A.Y. North and nephews, Freddie Floyd Partin and Jimmy Cecil Fuson. Survivors include his son, Carson North; granddaughter, Greta Jo Murphy; daughter-in-law, Angie Murphy; great-grandsons, Michael Wayne Warren and Joesph Dalton Warren; and 'Uncle Joe', as he was affectionately known, will be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
