Joe William Cox

Joe William Cox, 66 of Tazewell, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born in Arjay on July 31, 1957, a son of the late Ernest Randall “Buster” and Norma Jean Beverly Cox. Joe could eat a hotdog in 30 seconds, was an avid Wildcat fan, and loved playing football. He also enjoyed working on trucks, he was quite a character and “yuh man” was his favorite saying. Joes had been a Coal Truck Driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Hubbard; sister, Margaret Ann (Susie) Cox; and brothers, George Otis Cox and Jackie Marcus Cox.

Joe is survived by his children, Rebecca Cox and Tammy Leonard, Ryan Cox and Heather Gray, and Robert Cox; brother, David Colson Cox and wife, Janice; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made toward the serves.
