Joann Henderson Jackson, 73, of Four Mile, KY, passed away on Monday June 26, 2017 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. She was born in KayJay, KY on July 8, 1943, a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Jones Henderson. She believed in the Baptist Faith and had attended Riverside Baptist Church. Joann had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gillis Vernon Jackson; sister, Berta Jean Henderson; brothers, Tom, Estil, and Charles Larry Henderson; nieces, Kim Henderson, Melissa Alford, Betty Jo Alford, Lisa Castilla and nephew, Billy Anthony Fuson. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Wendy and Berlin West, Gillis Vernon, Jr., and Joanna Jackson, John and Betty Jackson; grandchildren, Gillis Lance Jackson; Bobby Collins, Jr., John Jackson, Jr., Joshua Adam Collins and Landon West; great-grandchildren, Peyton Grace Collins, Dawson Collins, Malik Mapp and Victor Bills; brothers and sisters, Loretta Holbrook Dorothy Alford, Harold Henderson, Bill Henderson; Jessie 'Bo' Henderson and Sam Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Fuson. Burial will be in the Henderson-Jackson Cemetery at Four Mile with Lance Jackson; B.J. Collins; John Jackson; Josh Collins, Steve Warren, Cliff Warren, Robby Fuson, Dennis Sanders, William Alford, Derrick Fuson and John Fuson. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, which is honored to serve the Jackson Family.
