Joann Hopkins

JoAnn Asher Hopkins, 87 of Pineville passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Tri State Manor in Harrogate. She was born in Pineville on March 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Charlie and Esther Boston Asher. JoAnn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pineville and had retired from the Kentucky State Park System as a Reservation Clerk Supervisor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hopkins. JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Karen Jones and husband, Johnny and Leah Mills, grandchildren, Michael Mills, Mollie Mills, Ashley and Casey Smith, Kara and Chris Sylvia and Megan and Aaron Freeman; great-grandchildren, Stratton Smith and Vonn Ashe Sylvia; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 Pm at the First Baptist Church in Pineville with Rev. Mark Hunter. Burial will follow in the Pineville Cemetery with Zach Hendrickson, Johnny Jones, Mike Crockett, Mark Smith, Eric Smith and Casey Smith serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 12:00 PM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Pineville.
