Jimmie Ray Partin

Jimmie Ray Partin, 76 of Pineville passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Tri-State Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate. He was born in Davisburg, Kentucky on September 12, 1943 and was a son of the late Jim and Alphenia Head Partin. Jimmie faithfully attended Old Yellow Creek #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Middlesboro and was a lineman for the BellSouth Telecommunications Company, retiring after 41 years of service. He was also veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, David Barton and his brother, Virgil Partin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley Ann Wombles Partin of Pineville; daughter, Lahonia Barton of Middleboro; son, Jimmie Partin and wife, Renee of Corbin; grandchildren, Kinsey Rae Barton and Austin Partin; one great-granddaughter that was “Papaw’s Baby”, Ella Davis; sister, Mary Faye Roark; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. John Brown, Mr. Brent Roark and Rev. Clayton Barton officiating. Music will be by Mike and Coleen Warren and Tiwani Grimm. Graveside interment services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Honorary Pallbearers are Brent Douglas Roark, Brett Roark, Braydon Roark, Wayne Widener, Luther Dees and Chuck Dees.
