Jewell D. Brock

Jewell D. Brock, 78 of London, formerly of Beverly, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home. She was born in Beverly on November 30, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Ledford and Viola Brock. Jewell was a devoted housewife and mother and was a member of the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Brock; and brothers, Burchell and Sterlon Brock. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Richmond Brock of London; children, Brenda and husband, Ken Lawson , Dale Brock and Hank Brock, all of London; grandchildren, Adam, Derrick, Justin, Christian and Christopher Brock; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dillion, Gracie and Heidi; step-grandchildren, Chloe, Emma and Avery Lawson; brothers, Spurgeon, Clyde, Stanley and Eldon Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 22 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel in Pineville with Rev. Darrell Lowe. Music will be by Kathy Brock and Ruth Brock. Burial will follow in the Mud Lick Cemetery at Beverly with her grandsons, family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Brock family.
