Jessie Wilson Monday, age 100, of Speedwell, TN, went home to be with the Lord and her family Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at St. Mary's Rehab Center in Campbell County, TN, where she had been a resident for 3 years.

Jessie celebrated her 100th birthday, January 10, 2010 with her family. She was a lifelong resident of Speedwell. Jessie found the Lord as her savior at a very early age, and was a member of the Academy Church of Speedwell and later in life the Community Baptist Church of Speedwell. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed sewing and embroidering with her sister, Effie.

Preceded in death by parents, Jess & Ola Dyer Wilson; husband, Kermit Monday; sister, Effie Wilson Baker; and son, Jerry Monday.

Survivors,

Son and wife, Glenn & Patricia Welch Monday, Speedwell;

Nephew, Daniel Baker, Halls, TN;

7 grandchildren,

17 great grandchildren;

10 Great-great grandchildren.

Jessie was loved dearly by family and community and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. James Branscomb officiating.

Music by the Glory Road Boys.

Graveside Friday 10 a.m. in Beeler Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Monday officiating.
