Jessie Lee Collins

Jessie Lee Jones Collins, 86, of Middlesboro, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Green Briar, KY on December 31, 1929, a daughter of the late William and Bessie North Jones. She was of the Baptist Faith and had been a homemaker and mother. Jessie loved to work in her flower garden, quilting, embroidery and she enjoyed puzzles. She also enjoyed 'shelling' at the beach with her family and watching movies with her granddaughters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Collins, granddaughter, Jillian Miracle, brothers and sisters, Bud Jones, Randall Jones, Casey Jones, John Parrott Jones, Albert Jones, Lester Jones, Molly Epperson and Ollie Trosper. Survivors include her children, Oscar Phillip Jones and Carrie Folkes; Bernadine McDougal and Eric Brocker; Wanda Jean Jones Slusher; Herbert and Patty Collins; Hubert Collins and Jodie Templeton; Jewell Collins Collier; Jill and Joe Jarvis; Alice Lee and Robert Hilliker; Carolyn Sue and Jerry Lester; grandchildren, Danielle Walters; William McDougal; Kristi Collins Evans; Marvin Collins; Travis Slusher; Jessica Coe; Lori Collier; Nichole Webb; Kimberly Webb; Eric Brocker, II; Jason Neal; Kevin Collins; Herbert Shane Collins; Jennifer Keck; Madison Jarvis and Katie Jo Jarvis, Corbin Lester; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sister, Evie Garrett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Hilliker. Burial will be in the Mills Cemetery at Tinsley with Jason Neal, Kevin Collins, Herbert Shane Collins, Caleb Dunn, Travis Slusher and Marvin Collins serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be William McDougal, II and Eric Brocker, II. Special thank you to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, especially, Amy, Wanda and Lisa for all you care and compassion. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Collins Family.
