Jerry Whitehead

Jerry Whitehead, 51, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born on October 27, 1963 a son of Della Saylor Whitehead and the late John Whitehead. In addition to his loving father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Whitehead McGeorge. He is survived by his wife, Teena Whitehead; sons, Jacob and Dakota Whitehead; as well as three step-daughters, Mareshah (Will) Marcum, Sarah (Anthony) Long and Hannah Shaw;step-grandchildren, Kaytlyne, Ayden and Madelyn; his mother, Della Whitehead, one sister, Faye (Kenny) Lambert and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would also like to express our deepest gratitude and thanks to Hiram Fields, RN at PCH who took care of Jerry and his family with love, understanding and compassion. Also a special thanks to Dr. Jerry Woolum and Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Collett and Rev. Larry Sowders. Special music will be provided by Benny Howard, Jim Miracle and Ray Collett. Burial will be in the Meadow Branch Cemetery at Stoney Fork. Pallbearers will be Bill Bailey, Jim Miracle, Craig Saylor, George Lambert, John Lambert and John Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Hiram Fields and the Men of Mill Creek Baptist Church and Chester Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until the funeral hour on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Whitehead family.
