Jerry Alford Mason

Jerry Alford Mason, 67, of Calvin, went to rest with the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Ferndale, on January 27, 1949 a son of the late Roscoe and Clara Barnett Mason. He was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a self-employed carpenter. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Gene Mason, Vesta Baker, Bill Mason, Don Mason and Roger Mason. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Janice Taylor Mason; children Tammy Walton and husband, Kerry, Anissa Mason, Jerri Kay Champion and husband, Mike, Jodi McHargue and husband, Jonathon and Sarakay Mason; grandchildren, John Partin and wife, Sarah, Heather Partin and husband, Daniel, Tyler Goodin and wife, Danielle, Kayla Champion, Brooke Champion, Blake Mason, Haileigh Hoskins, River McHargue, Caylin McHargue, Taylor McHargue and Harrison McHargue; six great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Mason and wife, Cathy; sister, Kathy Nichols and husband, Robert and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Rice and Rev. Darrell Lowe. Music will be by Billy Ray Hoskins and Abby Potter. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky Mason, Josh Landrum, Donnie Greene, Gary Greene, Kyle Fuson and Brian Rice. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Mason Family.
