Jerry Wayne Jackson

Jerry Wayne Jackson, 54 of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Springfield. He was born on November 10, 1970, the son of the late Daniel Jackson and Martha Brock Jackson Wright. Jerry had been a client care specialist and peer supporter at the Crown Recovery Center in Springfield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal uncles, Laymon Jackson, Earnest Jackson, Harold Jackson, Earl Jackson, W.P. Jackson, and Raymond Jackson; paternal aunts, Anna “Cook” Moore and Wilma Hubbard; paternal grandparents, Perry and Martha Sizemore Jackson; and maternal grandparents, Edward Brock and Ida V and Beverly Brock Smith.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Danielle and Jeremy Smith; sons, Jacob and Mylee Jackson and Kevin Jackson; grandchildren, Landon and Madyson Smith, Kelan Smith, Olivia “Livy” Smith, and Joshua Daniel Donnie Wayne Jackson; great-grandchild, Aurora Mae Nicole “Rory” Smith; mother of his son, Jacob, and close friend, Michelle Kiefer; brother, Daniel Perry Jackson; step-mother, Gladys Brock Jackson; fiancé, Jackie Meeks; special cousins, Michael, Heather, and Angie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Mills Cemetery in Tinsley with Rev. Nathan Ledford presiding. Music will be provided by The Reapers.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
