Jerry Lynn Hunley

Jerry Lynn Hunley, 69 of Speedwell, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his home.  He was born in Speedwell on September 9, 1955, a son of the late Clay and Minnie Mae Jessie Hunley.  Jerry had been a logger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Joshua Hunley; son-in-law, Robin Venable; and brothers, Ralph Hunley and James Hunley.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty Lou McCulley Hunley; daughters, Jacqueline and Gary Tharpe and Barbara Venable; grandchildren, Joshua and Taylor Tharpe and Gavin Tharpe; brothers, Johnny Hunley, Elbert Hunley, and Robert Hunley; sisters, Susie Gilbert, Mary Ethel Heming, and Marie Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2025, at the H and M Cemetery in Speedwell with Rev. Steve Edwards presiding.  Pallbearers will be Garry Tharpe, Joshua Tharpe, Gavin Tharpe, Marty Hunley, Jimmy Lane, and Calvin Weaver.
