Jerry W Griffith

Jerry W. Griffith, 72, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Tri Cities Nursing & Rehabilitation in Cumberland. He was born in Pineville on February 24, 1954, a son of the late Ransom Marvin and America Ann Wilder Griffith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna and Berlin Howard, and Kerri and Johnny Laws; brothers, Johnny and Pam Griffith and George and Janette Campbell; brother-in-law, James Simpson; and special niece, Christy Mosley.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Freda Simpson and Laura and Sam Hacker; special niece, Misty Philpot; special nephews, Jacob Maggard and Trenton Sizemore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Mills Cemetery in Tinsley, with his nephews, family, and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Griffith Family.
