Jerry Wayne Emery

Jerry Wayne Emery, 69 of Dorton Branch, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. He was born in Pineville on May 9, 1952, a son of Macle Letner Mosley and Will Emery. Jerry believed in the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Emery; and his father, Will Emery. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lillie Kaye Taylor Emery; sons, George Emery and wife, Kristy, and Kevin Emery; grandchildren, Will Emery, Jasmine Emery and her mother, Penny Emery, Jacob Shackleford and wife, Brooke, and Dillion Shackleford; great-grandchild, Levi Shackleford; mother, Macle Letner Mosley; brothers, Darrell Emery and wife, Kathleen, Steve Emery and wife, Dorothy, Randall Mosley, and Michael Mosley; sisters, Audrey Taylor, Debbie Canterbury and husband, Ralph, and Donna Fuentes; special niece, Kayla Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and the Bethlehem Baptist Church Family and all who knew him. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum and the Oncology Department at Baptist Health in Corbin. Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dorton Branch with Rev. Jeff Tingle and Mr. Ronnie Brock presiding. Music will be provided by Edith Griffin, Sandy Hoskins, and Eugene Enix. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dorton Branch.
