Jerry Wayne Ausmus, age 67, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his home in Speedwell, TN. He was born February 12, 1945 in Speedwell to Glen and Lela Welch Ausmus. He was a member of Powell Valley Masonic Lodge # 488. He retired from X-10, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He enjoyed the outdoors, walking and hunting arrowheads. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Ausmus and brother, Bobby Jack Ausmus.

Survivors, wife of 24 years, Robin Ausmus; daughters- Rhonda & (Stacy) Madon, Amanda & (David) Taylor, Cara Beth & (Jason) Couch; mother, Lela Welch Ausmus, all of Speedwell, TN; grandchildren, Cody & (April) Medley, Harrogate, TN, Lexxus English, Knoxville, TN, Kennedy Madon, Pierce Taylor, Jaxon Taylor of Speedwell, TN.; brothers, Joe Ausmus & (Diane Thompson), Bill & (Pat) Ausmus; special cousin, Wilma Sumpter; special friends, Ted Madon, Jennifer Seiber and Mike Price; as well as a host of many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Bannister and Rev. Darrell Walker officiating. Masonic Rites by Powell Valley Lodge # 488. Music by David Painter. Graveside services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Welch Cemetery. Pallbearers - Stacy Madon, David Taylor, Jason Couch, Cody Medley, Ted Madon, Graylon Wilson, and Mike Price.
