Jeanette Howard Rutherford

Jeanette Rutherford, 76, of Middlesboro, KY passed away on October 15th, 2018. Jeanette was born on September 19th, 1942 to the late Ethel Coots Howard and Chester Howard. She taught Biology at Middlesboro High School for 27 years. She was a devout Christian who taught Sunday school for many years. She traveled on mission trips all over world some places being; China, Philippines, Ukraine, Singapore, Turkey, Greece, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Africa, Croatia, Uzbekistan, and one of her all-time favorite places to ever visit was Israel. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Rutherford, Brother Tyrone Howard, brothers-in-law Hugh, Ernest, and Bobby Rutherford, and sister-in-law Magdalene Shephard. She is survived by her son, Ken Rutherford and wife, Cindy, and granddaughter, Presley Rutherford (of Front Royal, VA); Brother, Chester Howard and wife, Kathy (of Pineville, KY); Brother, Arnold Howard and wife Sue (Cincinnati, OH) and Sister, Chessie Howard (of Missoula, MT); Brothers-in-law; Clarence and wife, Edna Rutherford, Billy Rutherford; Sisters-in-law, Lorene Bingham, Helen Greene (all of Pineville, KY), Elsie and Cecil Smith (of Middlesboro, KY). The family will receive friends Thursday October 18th, 2018 at Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, KY from 5-7pm with the funeral service starting at 7pm officiated by Bishop Custer Watts. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Garden, Middlesboro, KY at 11am on Friday, October 19th, 2018.
