Jay B. Saylor, 64 of Stoney Fork, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the U.K. Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 2, 1954, at Red Bird Hospital and was the son of Andrew and Jane Saylor. He was a retired truck driver. His is preceded in death by his father, Andrew Saylor; nephews, Tracey Allen Brock and Michael Ray Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Saylor; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Alex Mills; grandson, Gracen Mills; mother, Jane Saylor; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Irene and Frank Johnson, Frank and Charlotte Saylor, Susie and James Brock, William James Saylor, T. J. Saylor, Sim and Angelia Saylor and Andrew H. Saylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends. Special friends, Chris Turner, Donald Wilson and Ben Mosely. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Jenson Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ben Mosley, Rev. Donald Wilson and Rev. Demus Couch. Music will be by the Church family. Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery in York Branch. Pallbearers will be Justin Saylor, Gabriel Saylor, Ethan Saylor, Alex Mills, Gracen Mills, Caleb Turner and Steven Weaver. The family will receive friends after 5 PM Saturday until the funeral hour of Sunday at the Jenson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
