J.B. Johnson, 81, of Miracle, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Balkan, KY on March 12, 1926, the son of the late John and Vina Cutshaw Johnson. He believed in the Holiness faith and had been a coalminer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jeffrey Cinnamon Johnson, brothers and sisters, Ollie Johnson, Author Johnson, Hazel Saylor, Nora Green and Pauline Hampton and special friend, Beulah Smith. brothers and sisters, Ollie Johnson, Author Johnson, Hazel Saylor, Nora Green and Pauline Hampton and special friend, Beulah Smith. Survivors include his sons, Roy Wayne Johnson of Goshen, OH and Jerry Johnson of Hutch, KY; daughters, Connie Bettinger of Batavia, OH, Vickie Lynn Johnson of Miracle, KY; Melioney Johnson of Bardstown, KY; grandchildren, Robbie and Larry Rapier of Goshen, OH, Misty and Chris Bettinger, Matthew and Michael Johnson and Tiffany Dawn Johnson, all of Batavia; sisters, Belle Miracle and Gracie Cox, special friend, Darrell Powell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
