Jasper Newt Lefevers, Jr., 'Bill' 84, of Kettle Island, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Mountain View Nursing & Rehab Center. He was born in Cardinal, KY on November 5, 1931, a son of the late Jasper Newt and Mabel Withrow Lefevers. He was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church and had worked in Security for General Motors. Bill served in the US Navy during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy J. McKeehan Lefevers; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Gertrude Naulty, Ferman 'Nick' Lefevers and Ernest Ann Broughton. Survivors include his daughter and her husband, Janene and Edward Bohl; son, Kevin N. Lefevers; grandchildren, Allison Bohl-Boes and husband, John Mark; Adam E. Bohl; Christopher M. Lefevers and Connor R. Lefevers; sister and brother-in-law, Eva Bea and Floyd Hebron; sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris A. and Phillip Carter; Jon Colin McKeehan; Shirley and Billy Brooks, and Eileen Lefevers; aunt and uncle Jewell E. and Dr. Robert W. Ogle, nieces and nephews, Colin and Paula Carter; Gina (Brooks) and Steve Ayers; Jennifer (Carter) and Allen Martin; Dr. Mark R. and Annette Ogle; Jenny Apple; Floyd Broughton, Hunter Broughton, Lauren Couch, Landon Couch, Newt Christopher Howard and Mindy Sarratt and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, Dec. 18, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Dr. Charles F. Keen and Rev. Ray Collett. Music will be by Thomasa Risner, Lauren Couch and the Gateway Girls. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Colin Lee Carter, Floyd Broughton, Jason Couch, Mike Brock, Steve Dean and Darrell Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Lee Carter, Jon Colin McKeehan, Billy Lee Brooks, Dr. Robert Ogle and Dr. Shawn Fugate. Many heartfelt thanks to Dr. Fugate, the Staff at Pineville Community Hospital and Mountain View Nursing and Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Lefevers Family.
