Janis Fern Brock

Janis Fern Brock, 71 of Pineville, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Tri City Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cumberland. She was born in Pineville on November 17, 1954, a daughter of the late Earl and Frances Hoskins Halcomb. Janis loved her family and grandchildren, all of whom she was very proud of. She was very much loved by her family. She had been a secretary for McNally and Hamilton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna Coop, and brothers, David Halcomb and Gary Halcomb.

Janis is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Dean “JD” Brock; daughter, Allison and Harvey Miracle; son, Jody and Crystal Brock; grandchildren, Natalie Brock and fiancé, Travis Rogers, Chandler Brock, Harley Jo Brock, Cami Lynn Brock, Kennedy Miracle, Caden Miracle, and Cooper Miracle; great-grandchild, Little J.D. Rogers; sister, Sheila Brittain; brother, Eddie Halcomb; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Miracle presiding. Music will be provided by Shane Simpson. Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Harvey Miracle, Cooper Miracle, Caden Miracle, Anthony Brock, Shane Simpson, and Travis Rogers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Brock Family.
