Janet Sue Mccoy Sands

Janet Sue Sands, 83, born May 20th, 1941, to Roy and Edith McCoy, passed away on February 17th, 2025, at Middlesboro ARH.

In addition to both parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Geral Sands, her two sons, Melvel and Clark Mayes, as well as her three brothers, Junior, Bobby and Danny McCoy.

Janet is survived by her son, Charlie “Hank” Meyers, granddaughters Kimberly Jackson and Erica Meyers, great-granddaughters, Madison Miller and Skylen Mangum, sister, Patsy Lawson, special friend, Dorothy Simmons and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend an expression of gratitude to the staff of Tri-State Health and Rehab for their excellent care of Janet during her time there.

At Janet’s request all funeral arrangements are private.
