James Wombles, 78, of Pineville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Fourmile on August 11, 1933, the son of the late Bud and Nancy Honeycutt Wombles. He had worked at M&M Mars, Inc. for 40 years in Chicago, IL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Milton Wombles, Charles Wombles, Geneva Loudin, Verda Pursifull, Wilma Saylor, Thelma Wagers and Idella Warren. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Katherine Wombles, adored father of Karen (Ulis Lingar) Wombles, Susan Wombles, Ronald (Amy) Wombles, Kathy ?Chatty? (Sohail) Mirza, Donald (Jenny) Wombles, and Travis Holman; beloved grandfather of Julia Wombles, Ronald Wombles, II, Michael Wombles, Kyle Holman, Brandy Williamson, Justin Bretz, Sarah Lingar, Misty Wombles, Ulis Lingar, Cody Wombles and Jordan Wombles; devoted great-grandfather of Bryan, Makenzie, Aaron, Anthony, Faith Irene and Brailyn McKenna; dear brother of Alfred Wombles and Flora Loudin; missed by faithful dog, Tyson. He enjoyed spending time with his very good friends at Pineville McDonalds and off Track Betting. Sadly missed by his many relatives and friends.
