James H. Stanley

James H. Stanley, 77, of Harrogate, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home. He was born in Pineville on April 20, 1941 a son of the late Hubert and Marie Lawson Stanley. He was a member of the Old Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle Church and he from Kentucky Utilities as a Shift Manager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hobbs Stanley. Survivors include his daughters, Gigi and Daryl Long of Pennington Gap, VA and Katy and Joe Hammontree of Frakes, KY; grandchildren, Alex and Kelly Long, Mary Kate Smith, Luke Hammontree, Levi Hammontree and Sydni Hammontree; sister, Betty Jordan and her daughters of Louisville, special friend and caregiver, Lee Swain; special caregivers, Shirley Wilder and Kay Jackson and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be Tuesday at 8:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Grubbs, Rev. Herman Denny and Brother Long. Music will be by Mark Mahurin, Brother Long and Shelby and Faye Messer. Burial will be on Wednesday at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Stanley Family.
