James C. "Smitty" Smith

James Carnell 'Smitty' Smith, 84, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday at Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, TN. He was born on April 1, 1932 , a son of the late Sherman and Rozella Smith. He had been a self-employed Electrician for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Virgil Smith, Laverene Workman, Lois Taylor, Virginia Green, Pearl Bethell, Paul Smith, Geraldine Smith and Joy Passmore. Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Quinn Ralston Smith; children, Thurston and wife, Kathy North, Debbie and husband, Gary Goodin, Debra Smith, Freda Smith and Rhonda Smith; grandchildren, Jamie Goodin, wife Mary Charles, children, Tori, Kelsey and Shelby; Stephanie Jackson, husband, David, children, Mackenzie and Sean Bennett; Sabrina North, son Braxton and Courtney North; special friend, who was like a son, Alvin Felton; great nephew, Jeff Ralston, special neighbors, Eddie and Pat Bingham, Johnny and Jennifer Jones and Raymond Woods and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn Allen. Following Smitty's request he was cremated at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Smith Family. Gathering of Friends
