James H Sharp

July 2, 1933 — October 10, 2018

James Harold Sharp, age 85, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2018 at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born near Pikeville, KY, a son of the late Dave and Mattie Sharp on July 02, 1933. He had been employed as a Postal Carrier at the Pineville Post Office before beginning employment at the Pineville Community Hospital. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bud Sharp and a nephew Dave Sharp. He believed in the Baptist faith and attended the Wasiota Baptist Church. He was a trustee at the Old Fourmile Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marcella Sharp, of Pineville, KY and his daughter, Mary Ivey also of Pineville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation for James will be held Saturday, October 13 at the Wasiota Baptist Church from 6:00PM-9:00PM. Funeral will be Sunday, October 14 at 2:00PM at the Church with Rev. Lynn Miracle and Rev. Scott Smith officiating and music by Gary Hickel. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. Friends and Family will serve as Pallbearers. We want to say a special thank you to his friends at the Wasiota Baptist Church and also to his special close friends, Kevin Carroll, Kevin Hunter and Scott Smith.
