James Don Philpot

James Don Philpot, 55, of Middlesboro, passed away on December 30, 2018 at his home. He was born in Pineville on September 24, 1963 a son of Betty Ruth Grubbs Bowman and the late Denver Ray Philpot. He had been a butcher at Kroger Food Store for many years. He is survived by his mother, Betty Bowman; children, Tabatha Philpot and Adam Philpot; brothers and sisters, David Philpot, Ray Philpot, Brenda Sullivan, Mark Hensley, Jeremy Bowman and Bradley Bowman and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 3:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Chapel with Rev. John Neal. Burial will be in the Grubbs Cemetery on Breastwork Hill in Pineville. Family and friends will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 until 3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Philpot family.
