James Donald Mccoy

Mr. James Donald McCoy (86) of Harrogate, TN passed away on December 28, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.  This date was the 65th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Betty Jo McCoy.

He was a proud member of Powell Valley Masonic Lodge #488 for more than 65 years, where he served as Past Master.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Harvey McCoy, Bertha McCoy Clark, and step-father Rev. Fuller Clark; sister, Corinna Clemons; and granddaughter, Lindsey McCoy.  He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Jo McCoy of Harrogate, TN; children:  J.C McCoy (Debbie Redmond) of Harrogate, TN;  Lisa Overton (Al) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren:  Dustin McCoy of Pasadena, California; Graham Overton (Mallory) of Atlanta, GA; and Mary Elizabeth Overton of Atlanta, GA.  He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Clark (Sue) of Arthur, TN, special friends of 51 years Pat and Don Cheek, and a host of many other loving relatives and friends.  The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the residents and staff of Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Graveside services for Mr. McCoy will be conducted at a later date.
