James E. Lamb, 74 of Cumberland Gap, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025. He was born at the Evans Hospital in Middlesboro on February 16, 1951, to Sam W. and Lorene Lamb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam W. and Lorene Lamb and the love of his life, Penny Mae, “Always a Lady” to Jim.
Jim is survived by his four children, James “Jimmy”, Siancere “Sunny” and Anthony, Samuel “Sam”, and Jennifer and Justin; four grandchildren, Michael and Jaime, Nathanael and Makayla, Isaiah, and Maelynne; two great-grandchildren, Salem and Grayson Simpson; his brothers and sisters; precious companion, Sugar; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years, amongst serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He loved junking for antiques, bird watching, and plants and flowers.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Mountain View Cemetery Chapel in Harrogate.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the Mountain View Cemetery Chapel.
