James Emery

James Charles Emery, 69, of Ferndale, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital. Born in Dorton Branch on march 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Hazel Helton Emery Daughtery and Jim Emery. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and had worked in Housekeeping at the Pineville Community Hospital for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Emery and brother, Clarence Emery. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Margaret Ann Witt Emery; children, James Emery, Sherry Mayes and husband, Dewey, Steve Emery and wife, Megan, John Emery and Mark Emery; grandchildren, Cierrah Emery, Samantha Mayes, Jessica Warwick, Kasey Emery, Clarissa Warwick, Ann Wagner, Matthew Aldridge and Sarah Mayes; great-grandchild, Afton Wagner; sister, Shirley Cheek, brother, Orville Emery; nieces and nephews, Cody, Jerry, Linda, Jimmy, Ray, Steve and Eugene, mother-in-law, Fairy Witt and a host of other relatives and friends.
