James Edward Brock

James Edward Brock, 65, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born in Beverly, KY on August 23, 1952 a son of the late Hobert and Tilda May Brock. He had worked as a coal miner and logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, and step-children, Martha Taylor and Roger Whitehead. Survivors include his wife, Hettie Saylor Brock; step-children, Ada Mae Smith, Shirley Jean McKeehan and husband, Gary, James Whitehead and wife, Priscilla, Billy Joe Whitehead and Hobert Lee Whitehead and wife Jessica; a host of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Jackson, Rev. Jordan Lee Saylor, Rev. Don Messer and Mr. Jay Steele. Music will be by Faye Messer. Burial will be in the Big Run Cemetery at Stoney Fork, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
