James Baird

James Hurley Baird, 71 of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his home. He was born in Chenoa on January 10, 1942 and was the son of the late Luther Benjamin and Sallie Crawford Baird. James was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Church and was a retired Coal Miner. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, brother and friend to all he knew and the family offers deep gratitude to those who offered comfort and care during his time of need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, J.B. and Edith Baird; sister, Nellie Payne; and brother-in-law, Benny McGregor. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Doris Jean Smith Baird; children, Charles Eddie and Margaret Burnett of Pineville, Elizabeth and Ray Warren of Fourmile, Mary Grace and Bob DePew of Macedon, NY, Sally and Mark Deming of Macedon, NY, Clark Burnett of Pineville and Kenneth and Kristy Burnett of Pineville; grandchildren, Latoya Ann, Charles David, Tonya Machelle, John, Joseph, David, Shelby, Erika, Johnathan, Jessica, Braelyn, Kaelyn and Kenton; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Scarlett, Sarah, Matthew and Madison; brothers and sisters, Betty Sue McGregor, Dolan and Sudie Baird, Dorothy and J.W. Johnson, Linda and Danny Hall and John and Diane Baird; brother-in-law, Charlie Payne; special cousin, Larry and Glenda Baird; David and Karen Smith and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends.
