Jackie Eugene Saylor

December 17, 1940 — August 9, 2014

Jackie Eugene Saylor, 73, of Jenson, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Hospice Care Center, Hazard. He was born in Insull, KY on December 17, 1940 a son of the late Corbet and Pauline Gambrel Saylor. He believed in the Pentecostal Faith and had worked on the assembly line for General Motors for many years. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his sons, Lee Cox and wife, Sharon; their children, Jared and Derek; Lowell Ceph Saylor; his children, Adam, Justin and Jacob; Lowell's mother, Brenda Rogers; great-grandchildren; Jaiden and Zakary Saylor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendell and Sandy Saylor; Alva and Lovena Saylor, all of Jenson; nieces, nephews and their spouses, Paul and Stephanie Saylor, Ben and Tracy Saylor, Tammy and Doug Burchett and Wendy Marcum; special friends, Thelma Jean Johnson and family and Stanley and Sherri Hoskins. A special thank you to the Hospice of the Bluegrass Staff for their care. Graveside services will be at 12 Noon Tuesday at the Saylor Family Cemetery at Jenson with Rev. Darrell Lowe. Burial will follow the services. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Saylor Family.
